Rapid Fire Flaring

One rather small active region popped off no fewer than 15 minor flares over 18 hours (July 30-31, 2102). The activity of diminutive sunspot AR1538 is a sign of tension in the region's magnetic field. The active region show to the right also contributed another three flares during the same time period. The images were taken in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light.

A BIBLIOTECA Becei de Paraisópolis foi fundada no dia 03/09/1995 por Claudemir Alexandre Cabral, um pernambucano que tem muita força de vontade - aos 10 anos ele já dava aulas de alfabetização para adultos e crianças. Em 1995 Claudemir começou a montar a biblioteca. “Eu montei uma coisa que achei que precisava para a comunidade e para mim também, porque para fazer trabalho de escola tinha que ir a outros bairros e gastava muito tempo. Então resolvi montar a biblioteca na sala da minha casa, num espaço de 16 metros quadrados. O Brasil inteiro, por causa das matérias, conheceu a biblioteca e doa livros até hoje”, conta. As crianças e os jovens que freqüentam a biblioteca aprovam o serviço. A satisfação deles é a maior recompensa de todo esforço e dedicação de Claudemir.

A BECEI começou com 15 livros. Hoje seu acervo é estimado em 11 mil volumes.
